Which class is for you?
All Levels Yoga.
This is open to everyone. Deepen your practice with detailed alignment.
Beginners Gentle Yoga. Start
where you are. This class is suitable for the absolute beginner
as well as students with some physical challenges who perfer
a slower class. We will explore the basic alignment principles,
breathing exercises, meditation techniques and philosophy to
guide you towards fuller richer life.
Beginner Yoga with Tara: I
strive to inspire others on an endless journey with the openness
of a beginner’s
mind. Together we aim to balance our strengths and weaknesses so
that we can meet in the middle and be our best. My practice incorporates
all 8-limbs of Yoga to bring wholeness as well as asanas or postures
to restore the body from the long workday.
Intermediate
Yoga.Iyengar says "how can I teach you to
stand on your head if you cant stand on your feet." For those students who have learned the basic alignment principles
of tadasana and are ready to explore some more advanced poses including
inversions, standing, and seated as well as more advanced pranayama
and philosophy. If you are ready to move to the next level of practice
ask your teacher if this class is right for you.
Intro to Yoga. Learn what
Yoga is about and how it can improve your life! It
includes a brief lecture about Yoga history, its benefits a
short, gentle session, and Q&A.
Lunchtime Yoga. Take a "time-out"
to refresh and recharge in this 60-minute class. Reduce stress,
increase flexibility and calm the mind through dynamic movement
in sync with conscious breathing.
Pre-Natal Yoga. This
is a practice of opening the body, heart and mind in preparation
for birthing. We will incorporate modified Hatha postures and meditations
from Kundalini Yoga. The inspiration for this class arose out my
own experience of Yoga throughout pregnancy. All levels of Yoga
experience are welcome.
Mindfulness Meditation. A
warm, comfortable gathering where we
will practice sitting and walking mindfulness meditation, guided
meditations, and a Dharma teaching by Fred Eppsteiner, with an
opportunity for questions and answers.
Restorative Yoga.
This is a deep practice of letting go. Careful positioning with
the use of props help to support the body in gentle passive back
bends, forward bends, twists and inversions, completely allowing
the student to sink deep into the body/mind. This is suitable for
all levels. It is often used when deep healing from illness or
emotional stress is needed.
