FACIAL YOGA
Yoga and skincare for the face

We are very excited to be presenting this workshop. This is an alternative to invasive surgery which is so prevalent now a days. With technology and new tools this has become the era of plastic surgery. Beauty treatments go back hundreds, even thousands of years. Women (and men ) have always strived to find ways to look their best. We spend so much time exercising the body completely ignoring the 42 muscles on the face. The face doesn't lie. Our expressions indicate how we feel. Our mothers used to say "don't make faces coz if the wind changes you'll be stuck that way." The wind of time chisels those lines into our face and we are stuck that way. Did you know you can actually isolate and exercise the muscles on the face?  

Facial diagnosis has been part of Eastern medicine - by looking closely we can see weaknesses in different organs and systems of the body. For instance puffiness under the eye is kidney.

Developing a simple skin care routine doesn't have to be time consuming but consistant.and practiced lovingly. We are overwhelmed by the array of products and treatments that are available to us now - what to use what not to use?
This workshop will cover all the above topics. We will begin with Yoga Asana, Facial diagnosis, Facial exercises, skincare, finishing with Yoga Nidra (relaxation) During which time you will receive a mini facial and reflexology. WOW sign me up!! Space is limited so please pre-register.

Hip Expressions
Belly Dancing!
We have 6 belly dance classes each week, some for beginners and more advanced students. Dance is a wonderful complement to yoga as it brings you more in touch with your body and develops self confidence. It is great fun too. Check the schedule for classes. Yoga Nidra (sleep) We will begin Yoga Nidra with some simple restorative yoga poses to open and relax the body/mind. Restorative yoga uses props to support the body in gentle back openers and inversions. Yoga Nidra is translated as sleep. Allow yourself to be coaxed into a deep relaxation . All the organs and senses of the body are rested in a way that sleep seldom provides. The blood pressure is normalized, the immune system is strengthened and the brain relaxes and cooperates better. Thus the senses are sharpened and you feel invigorated afterwards. Imagine a 45 min deep relaxation! Ahhhhhh
